• The Friends of the East London Museum and the museum present 100 years of Proclamation of the East London Museum. Enjoy a free showing of children’s theatre from Joy of Books and JBM Theatre on the history of the museum through fun characters and loads of audience participation. This will be free of charge at the Guild Theatre at 10am and 2pm. The museum will have extended hours from 9am to 7pm, and entry will be free. There will also be short tours of the museum by scientist Kevin Cole at 4pm and 5.30pm, and a talk on the history of the museum by Prof Mike Bruton at 7pm in the MCL Hall, all at no charge.
