Join in the fun of a music trivia night fundraiser in aid of the EP indoor netball tour to Cape Town.

The event takes place at Eddie Macs@VP at 5pm on Friday.

Tickets cost R100 per person for tables of six to eight people. There are also plenty of prizes to be won and lucky draws.

There will be a limited menu available on the night and a cash bar.

Several bands will rock the night away at Eddie Macs@VP on Saturday from 7pm.

MARKETS

The Crossways Village Market in Thornhill takes place from 9am to 2pm on Sunday.

Enjoy the country market under the bluegum trees with live music, food trucks, farm stalls, gin and craft beer, homemade delicacies, arts and crafts, toys, fashion, decor, and plants and flowers at more than 100 stalls.

There are also loads of children’s activities, including pony rides and face painting.

Bring along your best friend on a lead.

The venue is wheelchair-friendly and entrance is free.

The Linton Grange Library craft market will be held on March 27 from 9am to 3pm, and again the next day from 9am to 1pm.

The African Sky Easter night market will be held on Friday April 18 from 5pm to 9pm.

There will be plenty of stalls, food trucks, Easter treats on sale, as well as tractor rides.

WEATHER GURU TALK

U3A PE meetings are designed to be interesting and stimulating to pique the interest of retired folk and those who are at home during the day in something new and to keep minds active.

This month’s speaker is “Weather Guru” Garth Sampson on “What happened to our PE weatherman … where is he now?”.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday March 25 at 9.45am for 10am at the new venue at the Eastern Province Child & Youth Care Centre in Glendinningvale.

HOT COMPETITION

The 2025 National Chilli Eating Competition takes place on Saturday from noon to 6pm at African Sky’s Venue in Theescombe.

Get excited to see who will be crowned the winner.

This is a fun family day, so come and join the fun.

There will be live music, a beer tent, bouncy castle, craft chilli vendors, arts and crafts and more.

COMMUNITY RUN

Get active at the Sunridge community 5km and 10km run at the Londt Park Sports Club on Saturday.

The run will be filled with energy, colour and community spirit.

The 10km run starts at 6.30am, and the 5km at 6.45am.

The event is hosted by Run4Christ AC.

SILENT BOOK CLUB

Enjoy some quiet time at the next Silent Book Club GQ Chapter in Main Road, Walmer, at a gorgeous new coffee shop called Three Sages from 10am to noon on Saturday April 6.
