CONCERT SERIES

The PE Music Society’s Concert Series 2024 season draws to a close with the award-winning Signum String Quartet bringing a very special project to SA.

Their programme is a celebration titled “Bridge the Chasms That Divide”.

It is a celebration of newly commissioned SA works to honour 30 years of democracy.

The concert will take place on Wednesday November 27 at the Nelson Mandela University south campus auditorium at 7pm.

Tickets for non-members will be available on the night at R95 for adults, R80 for pensioners, R40 for students, and R35 for pupils.

Admission is free for members.

MARKETS

The Re-Seconds Market will take place on Sunday November 24 at the Walmer Town Hall.

On the day, vendors will be selling new and old, everything craft and local, including clothing, home decor, antique collectables and jewellery.

There will also be food on sale as well as a jumping castle and live music.

Come view the new kiddies’ section with arts, crafts and activities on stage inside the hall. There will be a new theme every month for the children.

Public entrance is free.

The Craft, Hobbies and Toy Fair will take place on December 7 from 8.30am to 1pm at the Walmer Town Hall.

There will be loads of craft stalls, dolls, bears and a collectible model car display.

Tea, coffee and lovely goodies to eat will also be on sale, including delicious pies, jams, pickles and sauces.

Entrance costs R5 and proceeds go to charity.

The Linton Grange Library Christmas market will take place on December 12 from 9am to 3pm, and again the next day from 9am to 1pm.

U3A MEETING

U3A PE meetings are designed to be interesting and stimulating to pique the interest of retired folk and those who are at home during the day in something new and to keep minds active.

On Tuesday November 26 at 9.45am for 10am, Adri von Oudheusden will speak on “Audio visuals for the joy of it” at the EP Children’s Home in Glendinningvale.

The Linton Grange Library book sale will be on December 7 from 8am to noon.

SOUL SUNDAY

Whether you want to end your weekend chilling in the sun or by dancing up a storm, Soul Sunday at Boardwalk’s Sun Park this Sunday is for you.

Gather with family and friends to groove to the sounds of Clint L and talented DJs Bena B, Apo and Sham de Funk.

Tickets are available from Webtickets at R100.

The performance starts at 3pm.

No under 18s, no cooler boxes, and no camping chairs are allowed.
